Candelaria is a municipality in the province of Zambales, located in the central part of the Philippines. It is known for its scenic beaches, natural attractions including Mount Tapulao, and traditional pottery industry. The town also celebrates its annual fiesta or feast day in honor of the town's patron saint, Our Lady of Candelaria, every February 2nd. The people of Candelaria are predominantly Tagalog-speaking, and the town's economy is largely based on agriculture and fishing. Its rich history can be traced back to the pre-colonial period when it was first inhabited by Aetas, and later on, it was colonized by the Spanish and Americans.
